ok, i THINK i found out the bug, but i might be wrong if its unique to each person. The programmer messed up the hierarchy of Unpublished Content.
several months ago, it was originally in order of
- new posts and updated posts, which are then immediately removed from the list after being approved by mods or auto removed if the is VIP. new posts and updated posts share the same rank so instead they are in order of recency.
- rejected content, which simply serves as notification that it was rejected, but the notification would go away when at least 10 new s or updates are posted since the list only holds up to 10 posts.
- deleted content, same as the rejected content, but it is lower on the list than rejected.
but now there was the first bug, which was that new s already auto-approved for VIP will now stay on the Unpublished Content list despite already being published. now due to a change in how the hierarchy is placed. now rejected and deleted contents are a permanent notification on the list, AND now the hierarchy is in order of when they were last updated. This means if I want to update an that is older than a rejected or deleted , they are below the hierarchy and therefore will be deleted from the Unpublished Content list for every post + reject/delete that exceeds 10.
and instead of posts being in order of when they were made, now updates are ranked lower than new posts. If i was to make at least 10 new s or updates before the mods approve them, the oldest updated post gets removed from the list. but since updated posts no longer get priority over rejected/deleted posts, those have to be factored in as well.
For example here, I made 5 new s, 4 updates, and one rejected that doesn't make sense because it was already up. I did not update any comics until AFTER i posted the new s. Still, all the updates are ranked lower on the list because the time these were last updated are older than the new made posts. Another thing is that i cannot update a comic called Study Break, because i posted it back in June, which is older and now takes less priority than the useless notification for a rejected from July that was not actually rejected. if i was to update it, the update automatically disappears
and because the list doesnt clear until the modmins look at it, i cant post anything until then, which could range from hours to days
