For example, the police in Argentina used water cannons and tear gas to harass workers protesting against the 'omnibus' bill pushed by Javier Milei, which included plans to give tax breaks to foreign companies and privatise dozens of state owned companies, among other treats for the capitalists. In socialist countries there is obviously still the potential for harmful police violence, however the police is not fundamentally opposed to the proletariat because it upholds laws that enable the dictatorship of the proletariat, such as limiting people to owning 2 residencies to prevent landlordism like in Cuba. Therefore, in my view, all cops in capitalist countries are bastards because of the nature of their occupation, while only some cops in countries striving towards communism are bastards. To quote Noam Chomsky: "As individuals they may be anything, but in their institutional role, they're monsters, because the institution is monstrous."
